Hattiesburg councilman holds town hall meeting to address crime

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Hattiesburg City Councilman Dave Ware said Wednesday he is working to address the concerns of citizens in his ward regarding a recent increase in reported home burglaries.

Ware held a town meeting at Parkway Heights Church in Hattiesburg Tuesday night where we spoke with members of the community about their concerns. He said he hopes to hold similar meetings in other affected communities. Instead of citizens heading to city hall, he wants Hattiesburg leaders to go to people, he said.

For more information contact City of Hattiesburg Assistant to the Mayor John Brown at 601-545-4503
