LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - The city of Laurel wants to become the city to lead the way in the fight against childhood obesity.
Councilwoman Willie Evans addressed the council with information she received while at the Childhood Obesity Summit in Washington D.C.
Evans said Laurel is a great recreational destination and would be the perfect place to get children out of the house and into the parks for some physical activity.
