Laurel declares September as Alzheimer's awareness month

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - On Wednesday Laurel Mayor Melvin Mack gave South Central Regional Medical Center a proclamation in support of finding a cure for the Alzheimer's.

Mayor Mack also purchased "Hope" the purple elephant in support of raising money to fight a Alzheimer's.

Alzheimer's is a disease that effect of 5.4 million Americans.
