Laurel church collecting supplies for hurricane victims

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - Magnolia Baptist Church in Laurel is collecting relief supplies to take to hurricane victims in Cape Lookout North Carolina.

Donations are being accepted throughout the week at the Fraternal Order of Police Office on 16th Avenue near City Home Center in Laurel. Items needed are personal hygiene products, sanitizer, baby formula, pampers, cleaning supplies, trash bags, flashlights, batteries and non-perishable can goods. There is no need for water or clothes.

Donations can be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. through Friday at noon. For information contact the church at 601-649-5660.

The Fishers of Men in Action will deliver the supplies to Cape Lookout on Friday.

    The new Miss Hospitality has been crowned in Hattiesburg.  She is Emma Grace McGrew, 18, of Booneville.
