Bancorp South Insurance hosts client benefit symposium

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Mastering the road map of risk management, that was the theme at Thursdays Bancorp South Insurance benefit symposium.

Experts in health care reform, wellness issues, workmen's compensation and the family medical leave act, spoke to more than a hundred business leaders from across the state.  The symposium was designed to bring attendees up to speed on the latest information as well as teaching them new strategies to reduce costs.

Bancorp South Account Executive Chrissy Cullinane said, "There is a lot of debate that surrounds health care reform but our job today is not to debate those issues. We really just wanted to give our clients some guidance in how they can follow the rules and regulations as they stand today."

Bancorp South Insurance Producer David Fortenberry said, "With rising healthcare costs, worker's comp claims are also increasing. So as Insurance Agents, we are trying to help our clients manage those healthcare costs and worker comp claims to reduce their costs."
