HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The first ever Women's Expo is coming to Hattiesburg on August 27th.

On Thursday, event organizers were spreading the word about it at the Hub City's monthly downtown association meeting.

At the organization's monthly public meeting, a co-founder of the Women's Expo, Jennifer Clark, discussed what this event will entail.

It's being hosted in downtown Hattiesburg at "The Venue." That is an event space located on Buschman Street.

Kicking off at nine AM Saturday, the expo will feature booths, many guest speakers, and seminars that touch on topics important to Hattiesburg area women.

"So anything from beauty to buying some jewelry, to learning about what to do when you are left alone. So it can be serious, we've got some serious topics, we've got some serious speakers. Some very moving speakers, and then we have some fun speakers, so it's a mix," explained Clark.

The Women's Expo starts at nine AM Saturday, and the fun will last until four PM. Tickets cost five dollars and they can be purchased at the door.
