Earthquake rocks Eastern U.S., epicenter in Virginia

VIRGINIA (WDAM) - The Associated Press reports a 5.9 earthquake in Virginia was felt in Washington, New York City, North Carolina and as far south as Alabama around 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

CNN reports a complete cell phone outage in New York City.

Business and buildings were evacuated shortly after, including the Pentagon.
