PERRY CO. (WDAM)- A Perry County man wanted for aggravated assault is in jail Monday night, after eluding authorities for several hours.
David Cochran, 46, is accused of stabbing Justin Anderson, 19, in the stomach, just after midnight Sunday. The incident allegedly happened at Cochran's home in Runnelstown, after an argument between Cochran and Anderson's mother. Anderson was taken to a Hattiesburg hospital where he's in stable condition.
Sheriff's deputies captured Cochran shortly after noon Monday after he was spotted at a grocery store near Petal. Cochran is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and resisting arrest.
