Two new West Nile cases in the Pine Belt

PINE BELT, MS (WDAM)-Two new cases of west nile virus have been reported in the Pine Belt.

The new cases in Forrest and Pearl River counties bring the total number for the state this year to 15. As we've been reporting, a Jones County resident died due to complications from the virus. Cases have also been reported this year in Marion and Wayne counties, as well as Coahoma, Hinds and Tallahatchie counties.
