HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) - Defensive end Octavius Thomas says the coaches at Southern Mississippi are pushing him hard - but he isn't complaining.
Thomas says he's grateful for the attention as he prepares to back up senior Cordarro Law this season.
Southern Miss coach Larry Fedora tells The Hattiesburg American (http://bit.ly/oi3gYL) that Thomas will need to show more consistency if he's going to earn more snaps this year.
The 6-foot-3, 239-pound Thomas played in all 13 games and got three starts last year, gathering 18 tackles and one sack.
