BETHLEHEM, PA (WDAM)- The Philadelphia Eagles released former Southern Miss wide receiver DeAndre Brown today.
Brown chose to forgo his senior season at USM to pursue a career in the NFL. The 6'6" receiver signed a free agent deal with the Eagles this off season after the NFL lockout was resolved. Brown was named the 2008 Conference USA Freshman of the Year, had 24 career TD receptions, and ranks third all-time in receiving yards at USM.
