Jones County voters head to the polls in large numbers

JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - Jones County voters have been turning out in large numbers Tuesday to cast their votes.

Circuit Clerk Wendell Bart Gavin said most people vote before going to work, on their lunch break, and right before the polls close.

Gavin said several hundred Jones County residents cast their votes before 9 a.m.
The polls are open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
