2 sent to hospital in Forrest Co. aggravated assault

FORREST COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - Forrest County Sheriff's Department officials are investigating an aggravated assault that sent both the victim and the assailant to the hospital. 

Details are incomplete, but investigators say it happened at a residence on McCoy Road near Camp Shelby around 10 p.m. Friday. 

They say the incident involved two men and both were sent to the hospital. 

One of them may have had a gunshot wound.

No charges have been filed yet and the case is still under investigation.

    The new Miss Hospitality has been crowned in Hattiesburg.  She is Emma Grace McGrew, 18, of Booneville.
