CAMP SHELBY, MS (WDAM) - More than 250 members of a Mississippi Army National Guard unit who spent months serving in Afghanistan have come home.
Soldiers of the 184th Expeditionary Sustainment Command arrived at Camp Shelby Friday night and were greeted by a huge gathering of friends and family.
The unit was mobilized a year ago in support of Overseas Contingency Operations.
Most of the troops are from South Mississippi.
The soldiers were given the night off to spend with family, but they'll be back at the post Saturday to begin about 2 weeks of demobilization.
