Two Jones County teens arrested for stealing street signs

Monday, four other teens were arrested for felony malicious mischief in Jones County for destroying street signs.

JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - Two Jones County teens have been arrested for damaging more then 60 signs in the Jones County Beat Two area.

Jones County investigators arrested William Ainsworth and Joshua Tisdale after tips from concerned citizens reported that the two suspects were removing street signs.

Investigators said once they came in for questioning the two admitted to stealing close to 70 street signs.

Earlier this week, in a separate incident, Lakyn Ottis, Brittany Taylor, Ashley Jacobson, and Dakota Smith were arrested after investigators saw facebook pictures for the four ripping down street signs.
