Police identify man they arrested for sinking his Mercedes

WAYNESBORO, MS (WDAM) - Waynesboro Police has identified the man who allegedly sunk his 2003 Mercedes Benz in the Chickasawhay River Monday morning.

Police said Travis Wright, was arrested and charged with filing a false police report. Wayne County authorities spent much of Monday looking for the vehicle.

Wright is currently out on a $1,000 bond.

    A Thursday morning two-vehicle accident in Jones County trapped one driver in a vehicle with serious injuries. Soso and Calhoun Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the accident around 5:30 a.m. on Feed Mill Road near Highway 28, according to a press release from the Jones County Fire Council.
