Police searching for Wayne County robbers

WAYNE COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - The Wayne County Sheriff's Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Exxon station in Buckatunna on July 21 at approximately 9:10 p.m.

Two males entered the store wearing makeshift masks. One of the individuals displayed what appeared to be a long gun and demanded money and cigarettes. The two individuals took an undisclosed amount of money and Newport brand cigarettes and fled the store on foot. There were no injuries reported.

The Sheriff's Department is asking the public for assistance in identifying these individuals. Anyone having information in this case may call Wayne County Sheriff's Department at 735-3801 or Crime Stoppers at 735-LEAD (5323). 

A cash reward is being offered by Crime Stoppers for information that leads to and arrest/conviction in this case.
