HATTIESBURG, MS. (WDAM) - Pearl River Community College officials on Thursday announced a Master Plan for their ever growing Forrest County Center.
Over the last decade enrollment at the center has grown from over 600 students back in 2000 to over two thousand students in 2010. That increase meant PRCC officials began looking at ways to better accommodate future growth.
For the last several months, they have been working with Hattiesburg's Albert and Associates. On Thursday, that business presented the Master Plan to the Forrest County Board of Supervisors.
Immediate campus improvements include the building of a new and safer campus access road in addition to the construction of a new Career Education Center.
That facility will house three technology programs. PRCC will start accepting construction bids for the new building on September first.
