Elizabeth grew up in the small town of New Albany, Mississippi. Her earliest broadcast experience was running around with the family recorder while filming her two younger brothers. Elizabeth always had a passion for story-telling, but it took her two high school journalism advisors to push her in front of the camera. While working for her high school's television show, "In the Dawg House," Elizabeth decided she wanted to make a career out of what she loved.
While at the University of Mississippi, Elizabeth anchored for four years at "Newswatch," Oxford's daily, live television show. During her college years, she interned for five months at FOX News Channel's DC bureau. While there, she covered President Obama's inauguration, and worked on assignment for "The Special Report with Bret Baier."
Upon her 2011 graduation, Elizabeth happily accepted a position at WDAM. Though she bleeds "red and blue" she's ready to get to know the Hub City and the Golden Eagles.
When she's not reporting, Elizabeth likes to visit the local bookstores and curl up with a good book.
