Hattiesburg residents rally against raising debt limit

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Some concerned citizens in Hattiesburg joined others across the nation at the noon hour today to rally against raising the national debt limit. About a half-dozen Hub City residents marched in front of the federal courthouse for about a half-hour, carrying signs denouncing tax increases and demanding congress support a new cut, cap and balance proposal to solve the debt crisis.

"We don't want the debt ceiling raised, we want them to live within their means," said Dick Przybelski, one of the concerned citizens.

He suggests saving money by cutting the Transportation Security Administration, Housing and Urban Development, the Department of Education and the number of czars serving in the administration.
