Another fire at Parkway Heights Church in Hattiesburg

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM)-For the second time in a month, a small fire erupted at the Parkway Heights United Methodist Church on Hardy Street.

Hattiesburg firefighters rushed to the scene Thursday afternoon to respond to a fire that appears to have started in the roof near the back of the church, in an area where new construction is underway.  The fire was extinguished and the fire department has since left the scene.  Parkway Heights had another small fire on June 20th, which was apparently started by a construction worker using a cutting torch.
