Palazzo speaks at homebuilders and realtors dinner

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - 4th District Congressman Steven Palazzo was in Hattiesburg Thursday night, speaking to local business and political leaders about more jobs and less taxes. Palazzo was the keynote speaker for a homebuilders and realtors dinner for elected officials at Southern Oaks House and Gardens.

Palazzo talked about the debt crisis, but he also listened to the concerns of homebuilders, many of whom want to see Congress repeal more laws than it passes.

"They're just reminding me what I already know...repeal Dodd/Frank, repeal Obamacare, repeal all the job-killing regulations that are driving up the cost of compliance and wasting business owners' time," said Palazzo. "We're kind of in repeal mode right now and I say I'm O.K. with that," Palazzo said.

He's spending the next few days here in South Mississippi meeting with constituents.
