LAMAR COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - An official with the Lamar County Sheriff's Department says 21-year-old Nicholas Underwood, was arrested on 17 June 2011, in connection with last week's home invasion.  A total of four suspects have been apprehended by LCSO, so far.

The search has intensified for a fifth suspect, and an arrest warrant was issued Tuesday for Brett Walker, 21, of Hattiesburg in connection with a June 16 home invasion and attempted armed robbery on Brewer Road in Lamar County.

Walker is wanted for attempted armed robbery, aggravated assault, and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Deputies said at around 2:30 a.m. Mathew Pendleton, 20, Mason Drinkard, 21, and Phillip Marshall, 21, broke into a home along Brewer Road and Old Hwy 11 in the Oak Grove community. In their attempt to rob the home, the owner was shot in the hip, but he returned fire and shot Pendleton in the left leg.

The three men traveled to Wesley Medical Center for treatment where they told staff members they had been carjacked. The hospital notified authorities, and Lamar County deputies then arrested Drinkard and Marshall. Pendleton was arrested upon release from the hospital. The homeowner was taken to Forrest General Hospital.

All were charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery, attempted armed robbery and aggravated assault.
