JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - Jones County Grant Administrator is working hard to bring tax dollars back to the county.
Lance Chancellor said the county has been awarded more than $650,000 in grant money.
In addition to that, Chancellor said he has applied for $2.7 million in state and federal grants within the last 10 months.
The president of Jones County Board of Supervisor Andy Dial said without grant money cities and counties could not afford much need equipment and supplies.

The Jones County Sheriff's Department arrested two suspects after a second church in the area was burglarized on Monday morning. Surveillance footage of the Indian Springs Baptist Church showed a white male and white female break into the church and steal an undetermined amount of cash.
