JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - Temperatures in the Pine Belt have hit triple digits again and the heat is taking a toll on firefighters.
Jones County Fire Coordinator, Dan McKenna said the burn bans are to help keep down on potential fires and also to help firefighters during this hot season.
McKenna said firefighters could potential suffer heat strokes because of the hot weather.
