Rigel new president of Mississippi Sheriff's Association

LAMAR CO., MS (WDAM) - Lamar County Sheriff Danny Rigel has been voted in as the new President of the Mississippi Sheriffs Association. He was voted in last Wednesday.

Rigel was originally voted in the MSA three years ago as the third vice-president. Supreme Court Justice Mike Randolph swore him in at the Spring Convention in Biloxi. He will be president of the association for one term.

Rigel will be representing the Sheriffs Association by working closely with legislators to pass laws and work with law enforcement as well as other issues pertaining to Sheriff's departments across the state.
