Rep. Palazzo wants explanation of Libyan policy

RUNNELSTOWN, MS (WDAM) - With renewed fighting taking place in Libya, 4th District Congressman Steven Palazzo says President Obama needs to fully explain his Libyan policy and says he'd like to see us end our involvement in that country's current conflict.

"We passed a resolution this past week on Libya that gives the President 14 days to make his case to Congress," said Palazzo. "We have yet to declare war. I think it's in direct violation of the War Powers Act. We're going to take future necessary action to bring him into line with the Constitution," Palazzo said.

We spoke to Congressman Palazzo during an annual "Salute to Business and Industry" dinner in Runnelstown Thursday night.
