RUNNELSTOWN, MS (WDAM) - Congressman Steven Palazzo is reacting to the ongoing scandal involving fellow representative Anthony Weiner of New York. Palazzo was in Runnelstown Thursday night, speaking to the annual, "Salute to Business and Industry" appreciation dinner.
Palazzo isn't calling for Weiner to resign. But, he is assuring his constituents that his time in office will be scandal-free.
"I think he's going to have to apologize to his voters and the voters of New York are going to be the ones who determine his political future," Palazzo said. He added, "I can tell you this...there's never going to be a scandal from Congressman Palazzo that's going to bring embarrassment onto the voters of South Mississippi or the great State of Mississippi."
Congressman Weiner has admitted that he sent explicit photos of himself to a woman on his Twitter account and he confessed to inappropriate contact with other women online.
