How are people staying cool in the Pine Belt?

PINE BELT, MS (WDAM)-It is hot in South Mississippi.  The Pine Belt has experienced record highs Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Some people say they will swim while others they will stay inside out of the sun.

Meanwhile, Marcus Macnevin with Oak Grove Heat and Air said in most case many home AC units are usually low on freon.

Macnevin said resident should keep their units set at 75 degrees.
