HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Boys State headed into its fourth day Wednesday and on the agenda for the day was Lieutenant Governor Phil Bryant speaking to the more than 275 delegates.
Boys State is a week long event where young men from around the state are brought together to learn about the political process and legislative proceedings. The young men are chosen in part based on their leadership potential.
Bryant says he really loves coming to the campus and speaking to the young men at Boys State every year.
"These are the leaders of the future," said Bryant. "These young men are going to decide in the future for generations who the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Senators will be. So we're here today to share the vision."
Attorney General Jim Hood is expected to address the delegates during the evening session.
