Family members of Moselle accident victims place cross at site of crash

MOSELLE, MS (WDAM) - Family members of the two adults and three children killed in an  accident on Highway 11 in Moselle May 15th placed a cross at the site of the crash Wednesday afternoon.

Killed in the crash were 27 year old Joanna Martin, her son 7 year old son Timothy Milam, and her 5 year old daughter Haley Sumrall. Also killed were 26 year old Bruce Myrick and his 6 year old son Tommy. Myrick's wife Janet was seriously injured in the crash and is in the hospital recovering.

The cross placed at the site was made from the telephone pole the victims vehicle struck. It was blessed by a preacher and planted at the site by family by several family members who then said a prayer for the victims.

"We want everyone to remember the tragic thing that has happened and to keep us in their prayers," said Kenneth Walters, Bruce Myrick's brother. " Just keep loving one another as you ought to because you never know what's going to happen.

The family says Janet Myrick has been moved out of the intensive care unit into a private room.
