Mental health forum focuses on children's issues

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Mental health professionals, school officials and parents gathered for a unique opportunity to discuss mental health issues facing children.

The Mental Health Association of the Pine Belt hosted the event at Forrest General Hospital Tuesday night.

Presenters from various organizations were on hand to discuss topics such as bullying at school, depression and addiction issues.

It was the first forum of its type sponsored by the Mental Health Association of the Pine Belt.

Organizations such as PineBelt Mental Healthcare Resources, Mississippi Children's Home Services and Hattiesburg Public Schools participated.
