Donations needed to help Moselle accident victims

EASTABUCHIE, MS (WDAM) - Family members of Bruce, Tommy, and Janet Myrick have been collecting donations at Mak's Convenience Store in Eastabuchie since early Tuesday morning.

Bruce and his son Tommy were killed Sunday afternoon in an accident on Highway 11 North Sunday afternoon. Myrick's wife Janet is in Forrest General Hospital in critical condition.

Also killed were Joanna Milam, her son Timothy, and her daughter Haley Sumrall.

The family's of the victims are trying to raise money to cover funeral and medical expenses.

"As much as we need because my sister-in law is still in the hospital trying to recover, said Kenneth Walters, brother of Bruce Myrick. "She's not doing well. They say she has nine broken ribs, they took her spleen out, it broke her back, and it messed up her throat."

Accounts have been set up in the names of Brady and Myrick at Community Banks in Hattiesburg, Ellisville, and Laurel, for people to donate. The Myrick family will be at Mak's throughout Tuesday taking donations.
