Ray Mabus speaks at USM commencement

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - U.S. Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus was the commencement speaker for the 2011 morning graduation ceremony at The University of Southern Mississippi on Friday.

Nearly 1,800 students will receive their diplomas by the end of the day.

Students of the College of Arts and Letters and the College of Health are a part of the 10 a.m. ceremony. At 2:30 p.m., the Colleges of Business, Education and Psychology, and Science and Technology will walk.

Friday afternoon, 10th District Chancery Court Judge Deborah Gambrell will be the commencement speaker.
