JSU president visits Hattiesburg High School

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The first female President of Jackson State University made a visit to Hattiesburg Monday.

Doctor Carolyn Meyers spoke to the junior and senior class of Hattiesburg High School.  Meyers encouraged the students to attend college and further their education.

Meyers said "Jackson State is a place where they will be embraced, where their special talents will be developed. It is a place where they can make their dreams come true."

Meyers said she plans to visit other high schools this summer and fall.
