Southern Miss beats South Alabama 7-4

Mobile, Ala. (WDAM)-Nationally ranked Southern Miss improves to 33-11 overall after beating South Alabama 7-4.  Josh Thomason retired the final 16 Jaguar batters to earn the win in over six innnings of relief.  Dillon Day started the game for the 12th ranked Eagles.

Starting at third base again, B.A. Vollmuth knocked in three runs which included a two run homerun.  Tyler Koelling had two hits as well and scored three runs.  USM is back in action Friday when UAB comes to town for a three game C-USA series.  First pitch at the Pete at 6pm.
