Hattiesburg police ask for help finding shooting suspect

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Hattiesburg police need your help in solving an aggravated assault case.

Witnesses tell police an altercation happened at a convenience between an unknown suspect and victim. Police learned after they left the store the suspect followed the victim to an apartment complex on Toney Drive. 

Later, several gunshots were fired and the victim was struck at least once. The unidentified victim was sent to a hospital - where he is listed in stable condition.

Police say the suspect left the scene in a light-colored car.
