NASA scrubs Endeavour launch over heater issue

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FL (RNN) - NASA has scrubbed the final launch date of the space shuttle Endeavour do to a technical problem.

"Endeavour's launch has been scrubbed for at least 48 hours, because of an issue with Auxiliary Power Unit 1 heaters," announced NASA on Twitter.

A spokeswoman at Kennedy Space Center in Florida confirmed to the Raycom News Network that the launch was scrubbed but refused to elaborate on what caused the problem with the heaters.

The spokeswoman expected the shuttle launch to occur on Sunday, although an official time has not yet been announced.
