Petal Man turns himself in after armed robbery of Dollar General

JONES COUNTY (WDAM)-Sheriff Alex Hodge says Jesse Fountain,17, of Petal is behind bars Monday being held on charges of armed robbery.

According to Sergeant John Smith with the Investigative Department, "The suspect entered the Dollar General Store located in Moselle on Highway 11 Saturday around 9:45pm with a firearm shouting, Freeze, give me all the money!

He was dressed in a camouflage outfit wearing a partial face mask.  There were three employees in the store at the time of the robbery; fortunately no one was reportedly injured.

Hodge says, "One of our Deputies was patrolling the area of Moselle just hours after the robbery when the suspect turned himself in to authorities.  He was booked in the Jones County Adult Detention Facility.

His initial bond hearing was set Monday at $50,000 by a Jones County Justice Court Judge.
