The Pine Belt prepares for the royal wedding

HATTIESBURG, MS. (WDAM) - Many Pine Belt adults fondly remember the wedding of Prince Charles to Princess Diana thirty years ago.

On Friday, a new generation will experience the glamour of this historical event when Prince William marries Kate Middleton. So naturally some people are throwing parties to toast the happy couple.

In Hattiesburg, many women may be wondering what they should wear to a royal wedding party. April Bullock, who owns Eve Marie's boutique in Hattiesburg said to channel the fashions of our British friends, a floral print is appropriate accessorized with pearls and a lady like clutch.

Bullock advises ladies not to wear anything too short and this advice can also apply to local springtime weddings and other occasions like graduations. She said there is a lot of enthusiasm surrounding the big wedding especially when it comes to Kate Middleton's dress.

According to Bullock, "I'm absolutely going to be paying attention to the royal wedding on Friday. We are real excited, me and all my girls are real excited about it. We've already had several people come into the store looking for outfits to go to royal wedding parties."

Bullock said to project a classy and refined look, you can always wear a cardigan over a strapless dress to look more modest while channeling the fashion sense of the folks across the pond.
