HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Mississippi Public Safety Commissioner Albert Santa Cruz stopped by the Thursday morning meeting of the Forrest County Supervisors to thank them for the improvements to the counties Driver License Headquarters.
The building has been doubled in size, and the entire parking lot and the troop substation parking lot across the street has been paved Santa Cruz says the improvements will greatly improve the service the public will receive and cut down on wait times.
"People will feel more comfortable when coming here now," said Santa Cruz. "It's twice the size and there is a lot more parking. We're just trying to make it easier for the public and the board of supervisors has made that possible."
Santa Cruz and officers from the Highway Patrol presented a plaque to the supervisors to show their appreciation.
