White offered job at Sumrall

SUMRALL, MS (WDAM) - Sumrall High School appears to have narrowed their search for a new football coach.

Shannon White, currently a defensive assistant coach at Petal, has been offered the position.

White was 26-12 at North Forrest from 2006-2009. He took the Eagles to the playoffs every year. He won a state championship at Taylorsville in 1998.

Pending Lamar County School Board approval, White will replace Mark McHale, who was not allowed to return after just one season as head coach.
