"Jose Canseco" Pet of the Week for 4-8-11

HATTIESBURG, MS - (WDAM) - A two year old male mix breed dog named Jose Canseco is the Southern Pines Animal Shelter's Pet of the Week.

Jose has been at the shelter for several weeks. He apparently got lost and was taken to the shelter.

His handlers say he is very friendly, laid back, and somewhat of a couch potato. They also say he is great on a leash.

Cost for his adoption is $70. He has already had his neuter surgery, has his first shots, he's been worm checked and is ready to go to a new home.

The Southern Pines Animal Shelter is located on North 31st Avenue in Hattiesburg behind Atonelli College. They are open Monday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
