HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Many statewide and local Republican candidates running in this year's election addressed a new organization today which hopes to see many of them voted into office. They spoke at the first meeting of the Pine Belt Republican Club on the Southern Miss campus.
Club organizers say their goal is to increase coordination among the various GOP executive committees across the Pine Belt. Among the speakers today were 3 gubernatorial candidates, Lt. Governor Phil Bryant, Pearl River County supervisor Hudson Holliday and Pascagoula businessman Ron Williams.
Club organizers said the organization will meet at least once a month.
