HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Patients who were served by a local hospice organization were remembered in a special memorial service today. A ceremony at the Sherrill Community Center was in remembrance of more than 300 patients in Forrest General Hospital's Hospice who died last year.
The annual event gives family members and caregivers a chance to reconnect as they honor those who've passed away.
"This is a time we can come back and remember, remember the loved ones, remember their lives and what they meant and it's just very special," said Becky Pardue, patient care manager for Forrest General Hospice.
Forrest General's Hospice was established in 1994.
