Suspect identified in club shooting; police on the hunt

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Hattiesburg Police are on the hunt for a known gang member who they say shot another man outside of Remington's Hunt Club early Sunday morning.

Police say officers were patrolling the area when they heard shots fired at around 2 a.m.

An unidentified black male in his early twenties was shot twice in the chest and is currently in stable condition at a hospital.

Police are now looking for Ricky Dean, 26, of Laurel, who left the scene in a white Chevrolet Tahoe. Police say Dean is a member of the 74 Hoover Crip gang and is to be considered armed and dangers. If you have any information you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 601-582-STOP.

The Hunt Club was also the scene of a shooting in late 2010 when three USM football players were shot.

    The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has issued a Missing/Endangered Child Alert for four-year-old William Holley III of Clarksdale. He was last seen Saturday at approximately 11:45 a.m. near the Hampton Inn and McDonald's on Highway 49 South in Clarksdale, in Coahoma County.
