HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - An unidentified man is in critical, but stable condition, following an early Sunday morning shooting at Remington's Hunt Club in Hattiesburg.

The shooting took place in the parking lot outside of the club. A Hattiesburg Police spokesperson says officers were patrolling the area around 2:00 a.m. when they heard shots fired.

Upon getting to the scene they observed several hundred people in the parking lot. After making their way through the crowd they found a black male in his early twenties on the ground who had been shot.

The police spokesperson said they do have a person of interest in the shooting and are seeking to get a warrant for an arrest.
