USM elects new SGA council

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - New Members of the executive cabinet of The University of Southern Mississippi Student Government Association (SGA) were elected on Feb. 22 on the Hattiesburg campus.

Elected officers include:

  • President:  Erick Brown, a junior sociology major from Columbus, Ms. He is the son of James and Virginia Brown of Columbus, Ms.
  • Vice President: Jeffery McClendon, a sophomore English and political science double major from Greenville, Ms. He is the son of Jeff and Shellie McClendon of Greenville, Ms.
  • Attorney General: Rebecca Masters, a junior nutrition and dietetics major from Ellisville, Ms. She is the daughter of Eddie and Kathy Masters of Ellisville, Ms.
  • Election Commissioner: Jessica Dominguez, a junior elementary education major from New Orleans. She is the daughter of Virna and Jorge Dominguez of New Orleans.
  • Treasurer: Davontae Washington, a junior business management major from Hattiesburg. He is the son of Pearline Martin of Hattiesburg.
