USM Forum showcases Native-American culture

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Native-American dancers, singers and storytellers took center stage tonight at an honors forum at Southern Miss. For the first-time ever, the forum showcased American-Indian culture as part of an event called, "Celebrate-Song, Dance & Story."

The presentation was part of an 11th annual performing arts festival tour which also makes a stop Wednesday night at the Golden Moon in Choctaw.

Performers from as far away as Alaska took part.
