A Jones County man is behind bars, after allegedly ramming a volunteer fire truck battling a brush fire in the Powers community.
Officials say Michael R. Flynn rammed his red ford ranger pickup not once but twice into the fire truck.
On the second ramming, officials say Flynn attempted to push the fire truck out of the one lane dirt road...put the truck in reverse nearly hitting two firemen.
Firefighters from Powers and M&M restrained the driver until deputies arrived. Flynn is charged with driving under the influence, third offense, no divers license, and simple assault on a police officer.
